It is important to distiguish the difference between results and activities. We can control the activities which we complete each week. However, we can not control the results. Too many of us are so worried about the results, we don't do the activities. Now, the law of life tells us if we plant a certain number of seeds, we will reap a harvest. If we can just have some faith in this law of the universe, we can get busy doing what we can control: sharing the business, selling the events and marketing the products. The results will be lots of money and prosperiety for you and your teams. Lets get busy this summer setting up accountability or fast track teams and let's make dreams come true. There has never been a better time to make it happen. Please see the fast track forms on the front page of the web site, www.pamandjimlee.com, and start a go now accountability team or fast track team today. Call if you need some advice or input on organizing or join a team!!

Now is the time for each of us to have reviewed our business foundations. Ask yourself if you are really serious about building your business this year. Are you? If the answer is yes, then I encourage each of you to consider how much building this business resembles a cake recipe. Baking a cake requires a list of ingredient, each of which are significant to a great cake. If we left any of the ingredients out, the cake probably would not have been great and may not have turned out at all. Market America's Unfranchise Business Plan has a list of ingredients. Many of us try to short cut the business plan by leaving off the items on the recipe that are not in our comfort zone or may require skill development. We still want the final result to be a success. I know if I offered any one of you $1000 at the end of each week in which you completed the weekly checklist, there isn't a single person who wouldn't complete it with zeal and enthusiasm. Revisit your committment to your future and the future of your families. Dig hard and do what ever it takes to complete you checklist and lets make this the best year for everyone. Lets make your dreams come true!

Market America is, sometimes I think, to simple. We want to make Market America more complicated than it has to be. There has GOT to be something more to it than using and sharing the products, sharing the business with folks and attending and supporting the trainings. It's the last of those three results producing activity's that I'd like to address.
Every successful Unfranchise owner knows the power of the event. In fact, one of the secrets of this business is that you can measure your business by the amount of business (new & old) partners that are attending the events with you. That brings us to TICKETS.
We have all heard "get your three tickets" to the next event. Doing this confirms your leadership and belief in your own business. People follow those who lead by example. Often times we get questions as to "why three tickets?" First of all, one of those tickets is for you, the other two tickets are for folks that you don't know yet. One new partner for each side of your business. Hello, it's called growth! Don't buy tickets for existing partners, they should be getting their own tickets. Secondly, the purchase of tickets shows that not only do you believe in Market America, you also believe in yourself and your ability to lead your teams.
So, the question begs. If your not getting your three tickets to the next event, WHO'S FOOLING WHO ?

Said Winter to Summer...
There is an old Bohemian proverb:
"The time will come when Winter will ask us: What were you doing all the Summer--"
2010 is hear. In our ten years as Unfranchise owners we have never seen a better time to build than right now. Market America has put in place the most powerful programs to help us average folks really create lasting, ongoing residual income. The portal has made it easier than ever to create new customers. We can never say that it's to hard to share the business. Just look at all the tools to help us show just how powerful this business is. Jim Ridinger, the founder of this business is going out on tour to help us all build our businesses by doing a series of UBP'S in many different cities. Hey, he is not charging for his services, he's doing this
FOR US!
So, it's up to us. Start from the fact that there are only really two things we can control in our life. Our own attitude and the number of times we bring this Unfranchise Business up to other folks. If we all focus this next year on prospecting and NOT recruiting, we will all be recruited-a lot. People are hungry for what we have to offer, both to improve their health and their finances. We'll all look back on 2010 and realize that the whole year was a "summer". Looking for a focus for your teams goals? Try this one on:
"Twenty/Ten"
Twenty new customers/Ten new partners
Make this your goal, help your partners realize this goal and none of us will ever have to answer to the "Winter"

Adversity ???
Ours is a challenging business with absolutely no limits and many incredibly exciting setbacks. We all have to be more willing to face our own challenges and those of our partners in order for all of us to succeed. I believe the very best in us comes through when we are facing and overcoming the adversity we all face on a daily basis. We all become better leaders, and more valuable to our teams, when we help those around us overcome their challenges.
Maybe you have a fear of three way phone calls. After all, that phone does weigh a couple of tons, doesn't it? Perhaps your fear is of what other people think of you. Honestly, what other folks think of us is really none of our business. Could be your fear is of losing what you already have in your life. We just have to understand the tighter we hold on, the more we miss out on other opportunities and these "other opportunities" more often than not enhance what we already have. Setting goals is a big fear for many. The simple fact is if you don't set goals for yourself, your family and your business you'll be leveraged by someone else who is setting goals. Ok, I hear you, "I'm afraid of losing time". Sweet Mother !!! If you really commit the 8 to 15 hours per week to your business, in a short time you'll have all the "time" to go and do whatever you want to do with who ever you want to do it with for the rest of your life.Whatever adversity you and your team are facing, there is no profit from shrinking from that adversity. "But Jim, How do I overcome all the garbage?"
1, Face up to it. Prioritize the challenges and attack them. To overcome adversity you have to face it head on.
2, Realize that doing nothing is the biggest risk you can take. Do something! You can't break your business.
3, Follow up and follow through. Mass action from yourself will cause mass action from your partners. Leaders Lead !!
4, Prove dependability, doesn't matter if your a senior or junior partner. Be accessible.
5, Leverage your senior partners. They are your best assets to help edify you and the business as a whole.
If we don't face the adversity in our life, mediocrity is guaranteed.

THE PROPHET
Pam keeps a Bible by the bed and I see her read a little of it most every night. I don't know why... by putting up with me I'm sure her place in heaven is waiting for her. She chews on me once in awhile about looking over the "good book". Pam has been traveling to see her folks so the other night I picked it up and with it in my left hand I let my left thumb run off a whole bunch of pages. You know what I'm talking about, just a random page. I closed my eyes and let my right fore finger pick the verse. Luke 4:24
"No prophet is accepted in his hometown"
Now, to me, there can only be one meaning to this. The Bible is telling us, clearly telling us that we all should be doing more three way phone calls. Your probably thinking right about now that "Pam's been gone to long and Jim's losing it". Your both right and wrong, Pam has been gone to long and I "LOST IT" along time ago. But think about it.
How many times have you showed the business, explained the products, talked about the portal, shared the services all to no avail? You flat know what your talking about in all the previous examples but, people just don't seem to move forward with you. We are all missing the leverage that comes from 3-way calls. Don't underestimate the power of the voice from afar. Your business partners can be and are your very best source of support, story and edification. It blows me away when one of my business partners calls me to talk about their last showing and that prospect was cold, to say the least. We get that prospect on the line and we listen and somehow they move forward towards more information. It's not what I'm saying, I know that I'm just an echo of whats already been said. It's just that voice from afar that's telling the prospect that they are really in the right house and working with the right team. Sometimes I think that the prospect is just looking to know that you are not alone, that you do in fact have a whole team of business partners to leverage. So, look up 3-way scripts(there are lots of them out there), contact your senior partners and get some coaching. Practice the calls at your coring.
So, Like ole Luke says, "DO MORE 3-WAY PHONE CALLS !!!!!!!!!!!!"

The Moment
In all of our lives there are dates that we remember. For many of our parents, they remember where they were when the news broke about Pearl Harbor being attacked. Some of us might remember where we were when President Kennedy was killed. Still others will never forget where they were when they found out about the assassinations of Martin Luther King or Bobby Kennnedy. We all have the shared memory of where we were on 9/11. Some meI have vivid memories about the first time I saw Pam. Right down to the blue pumps she was wearing and how I felt and the fact that I just knew that she was the one for me and I'd spend the rest of my life with her. We all have the shared memory of where we were on 9/11.
It's "the moment" that I'd like to direct you back to. That very moment that you decided to take advantage of Market America and register your business. That feeling of excitement, apprehension, exhilaration and for all of us, promise. For some of us it was an opportunity to make extra cash and at least play on a level field with the "big boys". Still, other where looking for true financial freedom and the time freedom that that allows. Maybe you were looking for that college fund for the children. Paying off credit card debt? Paying off the car loans? An extra $300.00 every month. Maybe it was to pay the house off. Pam and I are just under 5 years away from our mortgage burning ceremony. Really, what was your reason?
Market America offers all of us a system to make any dream we have a reality. Now is the time of year that we, as leaders, should revisit our goals. Both our business goals and our personal goals. We should be reaching out to our junior business partners to coach and coax their goals out of them. Think of it this way, if you don't know what your junior partners really want, how can you help them get it? Step 5 of owning a chain of Unfranchise's is the hidden secret in our business;"Teach, Manage and Support". Now I know that I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.
What I would like you to consider is, sometimes, we forget that the business starts with us. We have to be leading by example. Are you working your goals? Are you learning to show or showing the business? Are you doing business with yourself by making all your purchases from your own portal? Are you leading by example? Or, what example are you setting for your business?
So, as this year is coming to a close, revisit it. Look back on all the victories and the challenges. Learn from them both. It is our greatest wish that you use this years experience in the coming year and when you revisit 2011, well, you'll be able to remember
"What a Moment!!"

Power Of Beliefs
Your core beliefs are your source of all your successes and failures. Anytime you have difficulty making a important decision, you can be sure that it's a result of being unclear about what you really believe in. When you really start to understand what you really believe in, there is no way you can be denied anything you decide you want. To gain full control over your life, you must discover your core beliefs and change those that are limiting you. All personal breakthroughs begin with a change in beliefs.
We can all be better at realizing that the past is the past. The past can be a great source of learning, but it does not control the present or the future. People who understand this produce great results in all their endeavors, whether it's family, marriage, work or their "Chain of Unfranchises".
So, how do we start to change our beliefs? It might sound stupidly simple, but it really comes down to the words: can and can't. We all try to make most things very complicated. If you say you can, you will. If you say you can't, you wont. It's just that simple. Just believe that you can. Oh, it might take a couple of tries or a whole lot of practice. In the end you will be successful, because you believed you could do it.
Let's all stop self-sabotaging ourselves. Believe in yourself. Believe in your partners. Believe in Market America and your belief will allow you to have all the success you and your family deserve.
Be A Hero

Look at this exerp from Freemoneyfinance.com. (see below)
It is incredible people use numbers like these. They so casually say that if you draw 4%-5% from your 1 million dollar nest egg, you should live comfortably. 1 million dollar nest egg. Come on. Many statistic show that most Americans don't have $5000 or $10000 in the bank at any given time.
Americans are in the dark about the future when it comes to money. We all need to start waking up those people closest to us. Savings alone is not the way to secure a retirement. With the cost of gas headed to $5 per gallon, college tuitions doubling in the last 5 years and costs rising in every category, most people don't have a chance.
Did you know that developing a $300 per month residual income, is comperable to having $90,000.00 in the bank at approximately 5% interest. If you can pull in $1500 per month from your network company, it is comparable to having $450,000.00 in the bank at approximately 5% interest.
Let's all get busy and start letting people know that you have the answer to their financial woes. And DON'T BE intimidated. Less than 5% of Americans are making those big six figure incomes, so be bold and be brave. You just might wind up being someone's hero!
EXERP:
New Thoughts on the 4% Retirement Withdrawal "Rule"
A standard rule of thumb has been that retirees can safely withdraw 4% or 5% a year from their investments and in almost all cases have enough savings to last the rest of their lives. So if you had $1 million saved for retirement, you could take out $40,000 to $50,000 per year for the rest of your life. Supplement this with Social Security and other earnings, and you'd probably be doing quite well

Habits: Destructive or Productive ?
What are habits? These are the things we do over and over and over again without much thought. We create our habits through our repetitive actions. Habits really are, for lack of a better way to put it, our behavior patterns. The question is: are your habits destructive or productive? Destructive habits are easy to create, hard to live with but, very easy to create. On the other end of the spectrum are productive habits. These habits are difficult to create but a whole lot easier to live with. Let's look at some of each of these habits. We'll start with destructive.
Anger: no control required here, the issue is that a blow up can really cause long term damage to you and those around you. I mean, who wants to be around a hot head?
Tardiness: no effort here. It doesn't take any effort to not manage your time. The issue here is no one wants to have a reputation for not being able to be relied on. You just aren't accountable to yourself or anyone else for that matter.
Spending to Much: It's just to easy to pull that ole credit card out and buy, buy, buy. I think living with a debt load is just about the most un-pleasant thing we can do.This is very hard to live with.
Constantly Complaining: the old adage about how "misery loves company" is a load of bunk. Keep complaining and watch all the happy folks disappear.
Procrastination: It is so easy to put thing off and so hard to play catch up at the last minute. "I'll go to that event when the time/money present itself" Next to near impossible in fact.
Does any of this sound like what you or someone you know does all the time. These are tuff habits to destroy. Now lets look at some productive habits.
Being punctual: It might take a little more planning to be on time but, "the early bird really does get the worm". Vince Lombardi, famous coach of the Green Bay Packers,
ran everything on what he called "Lombardi Time". In essence it was being fifteen minutes early for everything. Try it, it works.
Fiscal responsibility: This is one of my biggest challenges, delayed gratification. Now that we are practicing this, well, we have a whole lot less financial stress. One other point about this, doesn't matter if you earn thousand dollars a month or a day, it's all relative.
Monitor your Activity: This is tuff to do but, it will produce incredible results. Accountability, whether you are accountable to yourself, a group, the weekly check list or whatever, just do it. When you write it down it's measurable. You can adjust your efforts to get the greatest results
Actively Promoting your Business: This requires a great deal of discipline and will make the rewards come quicker. Promoting the events, the products and your partners will work, try it. About the events. DON'T FOOL YOURSELF! If your not going, your missing it and your setting yourself back. If your team isn't going, well, they are only following you. Look in the mirror. If your team does what your doing with your business, will you be successful? Ouch, tuff question but, you've got ask it.
Listening: When you start to master this you'll be shocked at what you hear. People are really going to share secrets with you. Now some of those secrets will be a little to much information but, that's the key, information. After all, information is the very most valuable commodity there is.
This is just a short list of some of our habits. So, where do you go from here? I challenge you to sit down and write a list of your five most destructive habits and lets kill'em. These habit are poisoning your soul and keeping you from true success. On the other side of the sheet write down five productive habits you want to build on or solidify. It boils down to discipline. You have the power to chose to be success.

Failure: It's a Fallacy
One of the biggest fears out there is the fear of failure, but, what is failure? Let's look at some kinds of failure and the people that "failed".
Last year, the "World Champion Dallas Mavericks" lost the basketball every three minutes without even getting off a shot. Golfing legend Jack Nicklaus has said in his very best round of golf that he only had one or two shots that went exactly where he wanted them to go.
Fred Smith, while at graduate business school, got a "D" after he wrote a paper outlining a new business: Federal Express. N.A.S.A failed to meet a goal date 113 times to put a man on the moon. Getting elected, Abraham Lincoln's failures are legendary. Thomas Edison and the light bulb, do you need anymore examples, perhaps just one more. I myself failed on 116 times to get a date with Pam.
You see, we all know about failing, but we all have to understand that failing is never failure. In point of fact, most of mankind's greatest success's came out of a supposed failure. How does all this relate to your "Chain of Unfranchises". People have asked Elizabeth Weber how she did it (became the #1 earner in the company) and I've heard her tell folks that she was just willing to get more "NO'S" in the prospecting process. In essence, she "failed"her way all the way to the top.
The only real failures are those that give up and quit on their dreams, goals or their business.
So, here's the challenge. I dare you. No, I double dog dare you to give up your fear of failure for 2012. Give it up for just ONE year. Lets all start failing so we can all succeed!
